Here are some important dates coming up you should know about:

On May 17 –  instead of our usual 10 AM meeting, you have voted to have another potluck supper at Hammock Hall (Corner of Kirby and Kirkland ) in Palatka.  It will start at 6 pm.  Please bring canned goods for Putnam Food Bank.

May24-26 Putnam DEC will have a booth at the Blue Crab Festival and, of course, we need you to give us some time staffing it.  And that will give you a reasons to attend the Festival itself.  Candidates will also be present and providing us with their materials.

June 13 thru June 20 at noon is the time period in which you can file your application to become a precinct captain  for the next four years. You must be a registered precinct captain be eligible to vote at the DEC organizational meeting in December or to become  a DEC officer. I have the application forms and they will be available at the Potluck .  This is important – please do plan to file.

August 9 – just before early  voting starts  we will present a candidates forum meeting for all Democratic candidates.  It is planned for 5 pm in downtown Palatka on the courthouse lawn.  Candidates, especially, mark your calendars.

Don't forget anyone who wishes to vote by mail (absentee), must contact the Putnam County Supervisor of Elections office (386-329-0224)
